Division Leaders and Streaks

The Dallas Cowboys (11–1) and Seattle Seahawks (11–1) lead the NFC with seven- and one-game streaks, respectively. Jacksonville Jaguars (10–2) top the AFC with a three-game winning streak. Conversely, the New York AFC Jets (2–10) and Las Vegas Raiders (2–10) face long losing streaks of three and five games. The NFC East and NFC West feature the strongest leaders, while the AFC West sees teams grappling with inconsistency.

Game of the Week

Dallas 33 Seattle 31
This was a good game and worth watching. Both teams got good breaks and bad breaks and both managed to put up points. The outcome was never certain. Dennis and his Seahawks showed why they were undefeated before this game as his defense, and correct double teams, held Dak Prescott to his worst game of the year with no TD’s and only 239 yards. It was close for  most of the game, but then Dallas scored a field goal and TD in the 3rd quarter to take a 13 point lead. But wait, the Seahawks responded quickly with a drive and a key long pass to RB Walker (while being double teamed!) Their ensuing TD made it a only a 6 point lead. The Cowboys got the ball in good field position after the kickoff and drove just into Seattle territory. The offense then stalled but the Cowboys have a special weapon in Brandon Aubrey and he was good on a 60 yard field goal to make it a 2 score lead of 9 points. They would need it. A couple punts by both teams after that lead to the Seahawks having the ball with 6:36 remaining and down 2 scores. They showed again why they are having such a great season and drove 63 yards for a TD in only 2 minutes and 42 seconds making the score now 33-31 for the Cowboys. Dallas got the kickoff and ran a few plays but only managed one 1st down and had to punt. It was a good punt  though that pinned the Hawks on their 3 yard line with  1:37 to go. Game over right? Not so fast. The Hawks ran 10 plays in that short time and gained 63 yards and 3 first downs and got to the Dallas 34 yard line, but unfortunately the time ran out and they could not attempt a field goal. It was everything one would hope for between 2 teams that are now both 11-1.

Close Games

Week 13 featured intense battles, highlighted by:

  • Dallas 33, Seattle 31: A nail-biter where Brandon Aubrey’s 60-yard field goal shined. Dallas capitalized on third downs (8/15) and time of possession.
  • Arizona 28, Pittsburgh 27: Kyler Murray’s three-touchdown day lifted Arizona in a game with six lead changes.
  • Tampa Bay 17, Carolina 16: Rachaad White’s rushing score edged Tampa past Carolina despite their dominant 153–86 rushing yard advantage.
  • Indianapolis 28, Tennessee 31: Ryan Tannehill threw four touchdowns, while Indianapolis’ E.J. Speed’s 88-yard pick-six was a rare highlight in a loss.

Detailed Week 13 NFL Standings and Performances Summary

AFC East

The Miami Dolphins (9–3) lead the division, riding a four-game winning streak. Their 29–24 victory over Washington showcased Tua Tagovailoa’s connection with Tyreek Hill, who had 69- and 9-yard touchdown receptions. Miami’s balanced attack, including Raheem Mostert’s rushing score, outlasted Washington’s late rally led by Jahan Dotson.

The New England Patriots (8–4) remain in contention after a decisive 31–14 win against the Los Angeles AFC Chargers. Mac Jones passed for 276 yards and two touchdowns, including a 43-yard strike to DeVante Parker. New England’s defense dominated, limiting the Chargers to 10 rushing yards.

Buffalo Bills (7–5) and New York AFC Jets (2–10) trail, with the Jets suffering a three-game skid. The Jets fell to Atlanta 31–21 despite Xavier Gipson’s electrifying 83-yard punt return for a score. Bijan Robinson’s 193-yard rushing performance dismantled New York’s defense.

AFC North

The division is locked in a three-way tie, with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and Pittsburgh Steelers all at 7–5. Baltimore (three-game winning streak) and Cleveland (one-game losing streak) highlight contrasting trajectories.

Pittsburgh narrowly lost to Arizona 28–27 in a game defined by Kyler Murray’s precision and Najee Harris’ gritty 132-yard rushing effort. Cleveland, meanwhile, fell 30–23 to Los Angeles NFC. Deshaun Watson’s three touchdown passes in the second half couldn’t overcome Matthew Stafford’s three-touchdown outing.

The Cincinnati Bengals (5–7) stumbled to Jacksonville 41–17. Trevor Lawrence’s 295 yards and Travis Etienne’s three touchdowns fueled the Jaguars’ dominant win.

AFC South

Jacksonville Jaguars (10–2) sit atop the division with an unbeaten 5–0 divisional record and a three-game winning streak. Travis Etienne starred with 91 rushing yards, a touchdown catch, and two rushing scores. Jacksonville outgained Cincinnati 445–250 yards, controlling possession throughout.

Houston Texans (8–4) trail, boosted by a thrilling 35–29 win over Denver. C.J. Stroud excelled, throwing for 353 yards and four touchdowns, including a 61-yard bomb to Tank Dell. Houston’s defense also stepped up, recording a safety against Russell Wilson.

The Tennessee Titans (5–7) edged Indianapolis 31–28 in an AFC South thriller. Ryan Tannehill threw four touchdowns, including two to DeAndre Hopkins. Derrick Henry powered the ground game with 124 rushing yards.

Indianapolis Colts (3–9) nearly mounted a comeback, with E.J. Speed’s 88-yard pick-six providing an early spark. Gardner Minshew contributed two touchdown passes late, but the Colts fell short.

AFC West

The Kansas City Chiefs (7–5) lead, but their one-game losing streak highlights vulnerability. They fell to Green Bay 34–28 despite Patrick Mahomes’ three-touchdown effort. Aaron Jones’ 103 rushing yards and two scores helped seal the Packers’ victory.

Denver Broncos (7–5) faltered in their 35–29 loss to Houston. Russell Wilson showcased dual-threat abilities with 112 rushing yards and three total touchdowns, but Houston’s aerial assault proved decisive.

The Los Angeles AFC Chargers (6–6) and Las Vegas Raiders (2–10) are struggling, with the Raiders enduring a five-game losing streak.

NFC East

The Dallas Cowboys (11–1) lead with a commanding seven-game winning streak. In a dramatic 33–31 win over Seattle, Brandon Aubrey hit four field goals, including a 60-yarder. Tony Pollard’s 133 rushing yards and Dak Prescott’s mobility kept Dallas in control.

The Philadelphia Eagles (3–9) are mired in a six-game skid after a 37–17 loss to San Francisco. A.J. Brown’s 10 receptions and a touchdown were bright spots in an otherwise lackluster performance.

Washington Commanders (3–10) and New York NFC Giants (2–10) round out the division. Washington nearly upset Miami behind Sam Howell’s 361-yard, two-touchdown effort, while the Giants remain winless in divisional play.

NFC North

Detroit Lions (8–4) lead despite a 27–13 loss to New Orleans. Jahmyr Gibbs’ 115 rushing yards and two touchdowns were overshadowed by Derek Carr’s 347 passing yards and three scores for the Saints.

Green Bay Packers (7–5) closed the gap with their 34–28 victory over Kansas City. Rashan Gary’s pivotal sack and Dillon’s three rushing touchdowns helped Green Bay maintain control throughout.

Minnesota Vikings (4–8) and Chicago Bears (3–9) remain in rebuilding mode. Chicago’s gritty 10–7 win broke their losing streak.

NFC South

New Orleans Saints (9–3) lead the division with a one-game streak after their win against Detroit. Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave combined for three touchdown receptions from Derek Carr.

Atlanta Falcons (7–5) are surging with three straight wins. Bijan Robinson’s 193-yard rushing performance against the Jets was a career-best.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5–7) and Carolina Panthers (4–8) follow. Tampa edged Carolina 17–16 thanks to Rachaad White’s crucial touchdown.

NFC West

Seattle Seahawks (11–1) and San Francisco 49ers (10–2) dominate the division. San Francisco’s 37–17 win over Philadelphia was powered by Brock Purdy’s three touchdowns and Christian McCaffrey’s 155 total yards.

The Los Angeles NFC Rams (6–6) notched a 30–23 victory against Cleveland, with Matthew Stafford’s three-touchdown game sealing the win. Arizona Cardinals (3–10) broke their losing streak with a 28–27 upset over Pittsburgh, highlighted by James Conner’s two touchdown receptions.
